RockCheck 1.1.1

RockCheck application serves as an essential tool for rock identification. Primarily designed as an educational resource, it facilitates the teaching of geological concepts in natural science curriculum across formal educational systems. Moreover, RockCheck is equally beneficial for various social organizations engaged in non-formal education activities and individuals passionate about geology exploration.

The application's content is structured around the standard classification of rocks, tailored to suit the requirements of the general public. Divided into three main sections - Rock Key, Encyclopedia, and School of Rock - RockCheck offers a comprehensive learning experience for users.

In the Rock Key section, users can identify specific rocks by answering a series of YES/NO questions. Colored orange links are provided throughout for additional guidance, connecting users to detailed explanations on geological concepts and methodologies in the School of Rock segment. Correct responses lead users to the Encyclopedia, where in-depth information on rocks, including their characteristics, formation, and usage, can be explored.

This application originated from the PKP student project under the name Stonekey, co-financed by the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport RS and the European Union through the EU Social Fund. Furthermore, translations and advancements were carried out as part of the EU-funded RM@SCHOOL project supported by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT).
